{Meet Jennie}

I have a new friend...her name is Jennie...and she's my new jean vest.

Okay, friend may be a bit extreme, but it took me quite a while to find the perfect jean jacket...so I'm pumped to have her in my closet!

Every time I found a jean vest that I loved, they would be out of stock...so annoying!

But when I saw her at 30% off online last weekend, I've never ran faster for my wallet!

Jeans: Loft {$25}
Sweatshirt: Old Navy {similar-ish}
Jean Vest: Old Navy {25% off}
Scarf: Old Navy {old, but seriously crushing on some of these}
Sunnies: Target
Boots: Steve Madden {old}
Earrings: Silver Mountain
Purse: Target

So excited to style this into spring/summer and next fall!

If you're looking for a solid jean vest, better strike while it's hot...they will go fast!

Have a fabulous weekend!

{When I Grow Up...I Want To Be A Princess}

Happy Hump Day! I'm sorry to rewind quite a bit, but I wanted to get this fun trip documented before I forgot!

A few days after Christmas, Wendel and I headed to Florida to spend some time with his family!

We are incredibly blessed to have amazing families on both sides, so we were thrilled to get some time in Florida with Wendel's parents, his sister, Andi and her husband Braedon.

It was pretty cold in Florida, but we didn't care! The beach air, the waves, and the above freezing temperatures were very welcomed!

The big excitement of this trip, though, was Disney World! We were staying a few hours away, so we made a day trip out of it!

Ya'll it was freezing! In Disney World! Well...not freezing...but it was about 45 degrees and we were cold! We just kept purchasing layers...expensive Disney layers!

And because of my love of balloons...I just had to take a picture! They almost blew away on me! If only I could have brought one of these beauts home with me!

And of course, we went to meet Mickey. We were the only ones who wanted to, so Wendel and I snuck away to get some time with the man himself! Ya'll, this Mickey spoke...words...it totally freaked me out!

Disney has a Starbucks on Main Street, and we were sure to hit that baby up for a warm drink!

It was pretty perfect! I used to not claim to be a "Disney person"...but I've turned into one! I would love to go every year, but the world is a big place...maybe just every other year will do :)

{Spring Teaser}

Holy Moly how amazing was the weather this weekend?

We soaked up the gorgeousness by wearing flip flops, throwing the football around, and having dinner downtown. It was pretty perfect, and the spring teaser I've been waiting for!

I wore this for a fun lunch date with my madre. We went for tea, and it was pretty incredible. Nothing like tea to make you feel like a dainty woman...and you add fur to the mix...come on!

{Friday Five: Valentine's Edition}

Happy Valentine's Day Friends!

I had great inspiration for a Valentine's themed shoot with a cute outfit and precious props, but ya'll life has been a bit crazy! We've both been so busy, and we're leaving for Birmingham this morning to see friends!

So...here are my top five things to do this weekend...even if you don't have someone special to spend it with! Make yourself happy...and do something fun!

1. Make a fancy breakfast

Ya'll...it doesn't have to be hard. As long as you have a knife and the ability to create a semi-legible Valentine shape...you're good!

2. Buy yourself something that makes you really happy

I'm a big believer in the fact that you can't wait for someone else to make you happy. And even if someone makes you really happy...you still have to be happy with yourself! So go and buy a new pair of comfy PJ's, some beautiful flowers, some new nail polish, or a box of chocolates!

3. Create something beautiful

Being creative is so important! I didn't say you had to be a good at it...just get yourself together and do something! If we were home this weekend...we'd be making these cookies...yum!

4. Do something nice for someone else

Hand a stranger a Starbucks card, get a dozen roses and hand them out to mom's at the grocery store, get your neighbor some of your favorite cookies, give you husband/fiance/boyfriend an amazing massage. It a proven fact {okay...not so sure if it's really proven} that doing nice things for others makes you feel better. My little ones all know that when you are a "bucket filler", you are filling your own bucket. And it's 100% true!

5. Choose to be happy

It is ever so easy to be sad. For real...even if I'm super happy...I could still cry at a moment's notice. But we have to choose to be happy! It's a decision, and on this day of love...choose to be really really happy! Your loved ones will thank you!

Happy Valentine's Day Loves!

{Currently Craving: Black and White}

I have a quick post for you today! Just a few of my cravings for the end of winter/spring. I've been very drawn to black and whites lately, so I've been seriously drooling over these shoes!

Have a fabulous Wednesday!

{Hello Hearts}

Wendel surprised me with this precious shirt, and I couldn't be more in love!

I feel like cute holiday themed shirts are my version of the teacher sweaters.

Like this Halloween one, this Santa one, and this Valentine's one.

So the moral of the story is that I'm obviously pretty obsessed with SaSeaDecor's Etsy shop.

I also really adore Hello Apparel and you may remember I styled their sweatshirt here. I seriously wait to deck out our future little-bits in their precious children's line!

Jeans: Loft
Heart Baseball T: Hello Apparel {sold out, but here's the short sleeve}
Puffer Best: Old Navy {from middle school...yup}
Rain Boots: Marc Jacob's via Ebay {like here}
Mittens: Target

Ending with a little fur...another one of my favorite things!

Have a great Monday!

{14 Days of Love: Part 1}

It's no secret that I absolutely love a holiday!

My whole year revolves around the closest holiday, so when we are nearing Valentine's Day, I always get giddy and start dreaming of pink, red, chocolate, kisses, and fancy date nights.

So to start this month off, Wendel and I decided we would each take every other day, and do something extra special to say "I Love You" with some inspiration from the ever so precious Pink Pistachio.

{All of my graphics came from Pink Pistachio...and you can find them here}

I was up first and decided to plan a little day date for us to enjoy our city!

It was wonderful, romantic, and perfect in every way!

Then, Wendel one upped me big time! I came home after my school's open house to a house full of balloons. 4 dozen to be exact. You may have read about my obsession with balloons here, so I was excited! So so so excited!

You know I'm super excited when I put my hands out at my sides like I'm a princess.

There was no way I was topping balloon land {which I am proud to say it still going strong} so when Wendel came home from class, I had a lightened up version of red cream soda's waiting for him.

Let's be honest though, cream soda's of any sort are pretty exciting!

Wendel knows me oh so well and surprised me with this Hello shirt I died over. It's sold out, but here's a t-shirt version! I'll have a full outfit post on Monday!

I went simple {because honestly I almost forgot} and found this printable from Pinterest. What can I say? Wendel has a nice toochie!

Wendel did it again and surprised me with a few special goodies! A precious scarf with pink poms, some new Essie nail polish {Essie's my favorite FYI}, and this honeycomb picture frame I've been eyeing!

We are actually celebrating Valentine's Day tonight because we will be in Birmingham to see friends the weekend of actual Valentine's Day, so I'm excited to get all dressed up and have a fancy dinner with my main man!

Have a fabulous love-filled weekend!
